Includesabout a year ago I started waking up with a soar jaw and mouth. I couldn't figure out why but it started to get worse. I spoke to a few friends and family members and I came to the conclusion that I was grinding my teeth at night. So I bought this StressGard and it seems to be helping out with the grinding. First few nights are uncomfortable, but once you get used to it you will be glad you wear them.

I like this product however the tabs/spaces in it tend to give me mouth ulcers. My gums and tongue get caught in them overnight. Wishing for a smoother surface.

I used to have my dentist make custom guards for me at around $600 a piece. They were hard, and over time my teeth would grind grooves into them, which meant they started catching on the grooves and doing damage again.
The StressGard doesn't have any place for teeth to catch, and it's just thick enough to keep upper and lower teeth apart. The only issue I have is that it tends to spread a little over time, but I overcome that by placing a wide rubber band, just tight enough to bring the wings close together, on the guard after I clean it in the morning.
