Oral-B Amosan - Oral Wound Cleanser

Oral B Amosan is the best product ever and can't be replaced by any other product. I need it now after dental surgery and nothing else is comparable. The people at Oral B are crazy for discontinuing Amosan. How many people have to suffer before the Oral B people come back to their senses.....

I have been diagnosed with a sort of lupus and often have lesions in my mouth. Amosan was such a great product for me. I would just use it a few times a week and it would keep my mouth lesion free...now I am plagued with lesions weekly. Please help !!!

Just like everyone else, I do not understand why Oral B discontinued a product that worked so well. None of the items recommended as "also suitable" come even close to the effectiveness of Oral-B Amosan. So why is it taken off the shelves. Why are you discontinuing Amosan. It is the only thing that helps me when the denture sores come on. I am also so disappointed like the others writing here. Just bring it back again. I can't believe this product isn't still being made. My dentist recommended it to me years ago and it has always been the best thing to help inflamed gum pain. I don't use it often, only when I have sore gums or a tooth ache and can't get into my dentist. Like last Friday night when I woke up with a major tooth ache and swollen gums. So, after flossing and brushing, I started using a package of Oral-B Amosan to rinse my mouth twice a day and it helped control the pain enough to stop me from making an emerency call into my dentist. My dentist is closed on Mondays as well as weekends. Monday morning I realized that I only had 1 package left in the box and tried to find another box at Walgreens and that's when I found out they no longer carry it. WHAT! This product was the best at helping to ease gum pain and we all know how bad that can be. I do not use the product in place of my dentist and I do not use it often. But every 5 to 10 years or so, I seem to get a major gum/tooth irration and it always seems to happen on a weekend when my dentist office is close. Please bring this product back there is nothing else on the consumer market like it! It's the only product I know of that eases the pain of sore and achy gums until I can get into the dentist and find the real cause for the achy. From the 1980's until now I have always kept a box of this product for emergency home treatments and I can't believe that I can't buy this product anymore. I'm totally bummed. Please bring this product back.

I just learned tha amosan was discontinued. My partner and I have been using it forever. You only needed to rinse twice for an ulcer of a sore to disappear. Now the pharmacism advised me to buy steri/sol instead. What a joke: after 5 rinses, no change except for my tastebuds that are all numb. Since no real explanation was given by Oral B, one can only conclude that the made a deal with the dentists so that customers coundn't treat small problems by themselves. It's a real shame.

I have used Amosan for over 20 years and today I visited six stores looking for the product. After six dead ends, I searched the internet only to repeatly see status as discontinued, on several websites. HOW COULD THIS BE??? This is the only oral product that works quickly and effectively. I live in a small desert town where I travel 35 miles to a dentist. If I have a sore mouth I always used Amosan and it would take the pain away until I could get to a dentist. Because it has helped me very much, I have taken it to releave sores in my month, and after taken puffers for relief of a sore that might pop up, I find it very smoothing. I went to Walmart yesterday which I find it hard to belive he would have it locked up so no one can get it when he goes home. There is nothing saying we should not be able to pick it up, when he isn't there. Maybe it needs more advertisement

I have just been told by my pharmacist that Amosan has been discontinued. I was first introduced to this great product about fifty years ago for the treatment of gengevitis and it helped to cure the disease. About twenty years ago I made the ghastly mistake of letting a quack dentist talk me into allowing him to put a permanent bridge in my mouth after losing a tooth. Bad mistake. Food debris can become trapped under the bridge and cause extremely foul breath. I found that flossing under the bridge with Oral B Super Foss and rinsing with Amosan was the answer to the problem. It has been a Godsend. Please,please bring this product back.

I did not have to use this product very often, but when I need it...WOW! I compare this product to Neosporin and Benedryl, which I call miracle products. They always do as expected and then some. Why on earth would Oral-B (Proctor & Gamble) discontinue a product when there is no other product like it? It is painless and works so well. PLEASE BRING BANK 'AMOSAN' FOR THOSE OF US WHO NEED YOUR PRODUCT. If necessary, charge us more, but do not take it away without giving us another product that works just as well.

I have used Amosan since I was 13 years old and the dentist recommended it for my gingivitis, Have my husband and adult children who also have used it for years, We are surrently trying to find some and have been told it is no longer made. Figures when there is something that actually works and does not cost a fortune that they would quit making it,Very upset over this. When will Oral-B Amosan powder rinse be back on the market? This is the only product I have found to get rid of bad breath caused by foods such as onion and garlic taste and smell. It also seems to toughen up the gum which prevents gum bleeds. I have been using it for about 45 years after it was recommended by a dentist while I was in my late teens. I only have to use it once or sometimes twice a day, and believe me, I do not have gum bleeds anymore, my teeth are still healthy and white, and I am of medicare age. It has always been hard to find Amosan, but recently I was finding it at Walgreens.

After my Pharmacist informed me today that this product has been withdrawn by Oral B, and now reading the reviews/comments here, I smell a rat. Namely the various Dental Associations who clearly aren't pleased at having such a good product generally available, thereby cutting into THEIR profits. Why else would it be removed if it was so well received? Just one more instance where someone's profit exceedsa the public's needs.

I was first introduced to Amosan as a child after I got a tumor removed from my mouth. It was told to use Amosan to help the healing and avoid infection.
