This is the beefed-up version of DenTek Temparin for the person who has to wait a little longer than most to make it to the dentist office. Also made from the same filling materials dentists use, this filling repair is made with ten times the strength of original Temparin to ensure extended protection for your tooth until you have the time to get it fixed. It's fast drying and safe to eat on.
8+ repairs per bottle.
When I lost a filling, it left a large hole on the FACE of my tooth, near the front of my mouth. Knowing that it would be a while before I made it to the dentist, I tried some of this Temparing Max.
My first two attempts ended much like the other reviewer; with the product dissolving into oblivion within minutes of application. However, in my subsequent attempts, I learned that I was originally using way too much of the material. Now I literally use a chunk the size of the point of a pen...then smash it between your fingers to make it big enough to cover the surface area that is required. In short, the material won't properly harden if there's too much of it. I started using a pea-sized amount of material, and now I use 1/10th of that amount (or less).
When used correctly, one application of this product lasts me between 3-5 days. In addition, the package says 10+ applications...I've gotten 20 already, and I still have a third of the material left. Less is more. If there's any downside to this product, it's the fact that the instructions are vague, and it took a few "test runs" before I figured out how to use it. Otherwise, I highly recommend it for someone in a similar situation!

Excellent item for replacing lost fillings. Followed the directions and the product worked just like it says.

I had lost my filling on a Thursday evening and couldn't get to the dentist until the next Thursday. We picked up some of this Temparin MAX and followed the instructions exactly 3 times, each time the product just turned to powered melted yuk in my mouth. Figuring something was wrong with the package I got I called the number. The lady on the phone says well yeah it either works or it doesn't. Thank you, I always like spending my money on something that doesn't work. She stated that maybe there was too much moisture in my mouth and that I should surround it by cotton until it sets. Well this just dried it out and 2 hours after I removed the cotton it turned to powdered chalk. She stated they test it by dropping it into a glass of water, did this and it just melted again. Also she suggested I roll it between my fingers longer, it turned to powder in my fingers. Maybe this wasn't how it was suppose to be and I got a bad batch. So off to the store I went picked up another batch and same thing. This product is a hoax.

Instructions: Wash the cavity area with warm water. Scoop a small amount of Maximum Hold Temparin from the vial, and roll into a ball between fingers. Slightly overfill the cavity with Maximum Hold Temparin and tamp into place with the provided cotton swab moistened in water. Close your teeth together, as if you were biting down on a piece of paper, and gently chew or grind on the replaced filling a couple times to create a comfortable bite. Use the cotton swab to remove excess Maximum Hold Temparin® from around the area. Moisture will accelerate the set. Maximum Hold Temparin will set softly in your mouth within a few minutes, but avoid chewing on the repair for 2-3 hours to allow the material to set.
Caution: To avoid infection and/or serious injury, this product should not be used if there is throbbing pain, ulceration or swelling in the affected area. If any of these symptoms exist, consult your dentist immediately. This product should not be placed on open wounds. READ ALL OF THE DIRECTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USE! Wash and dry your hands. Use only what is needed to repair the dental emergency, and save the rest for a future application. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
