What are sensitive teeth?
If you experience flashes of tooth pain or discomfort from cold or hot foods and drinks, or even when you touch your teeth with your toothbrush you may suffer from dental hypersensitivity (or "sensitive teeth").

Hypersensitivity can occur when dentin, which surrounds the pulp cavity and tooth nerve, is not protected.  Dentin can become exposed when gums recede and the protective layer covering the root surface is worn away, leaving dentin exposed.  Crest Sensitivity Protection helps relieve the pain of sensitive teeth by soothing the nerves in your teeth when the dentin is exposed.

American Dental Association Accepted: Crest Sensitivity Protection has been shown to be an effective decay-preventive dentifrice that can be of significant value when used as directed in a conscientiously applied program of oral hygiene and regular professional care.  With regular use it also has been shown to relieve sensitivity in otherwise normal teeth. Indications: Aids in the prevention of dental cavities.

Directions:

Adults and children 12 years and older:

Do not swallow.

• Apply at least a 1-inch strip of the product onto a soft bristle toothbrush. Brush teeth thoroughly for at least 1 minute twice a day (morning and evening) or as recommended by a dentist.
• Make sure to brush all sensitive areas of the teeth.

Do not use in children under 12 yrs.

Ingredients:

Active Ingredients: per tube: Potassium Nitrate 5% (toothpaste for sensitive teeth), Sodium Fluoride 0.243% (0.15% w/v fluoride ion) (toothpaste for cavity protection)

Inactive Ingredients: Water, Hydrated Silica, Glycerin, Sorbitol, Trisodium Phosphate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Cellulose Gum, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Saccharin, Titanium Dioxide

Warnings:

When using this product, do not use longer than four weeks unless recommended by a dentist.

Stop use and ask a dentist if problem lasts or gets worse. Sensitive teeth may indicate a serious problem that may need prompt care.

Keep out of reach of children. If you accidentally swallow more than used for brushing, seek professional help or contact a Poison Control Center.
