All AP-24 products have a patented ingredient called AP-24.

AP-24 is a surfactant which means it lowers the surface tension of the tooth. This makes it for more difficult for plaque to attach to the surface of the tooth i.e. the tooth surface becomes too slippery.

By reducing the ability of bacteria to adhere to the tooth surface, the bacterial count is reduced. With less bacteria, there are fewer cavities and less gingivitis. This patented AP-24 ingredient is included in all AP-24 products. It is even impregnated into the floss.

Unlike most other toothpastes, there is no virtually no foaming action. The agents responsible for foaming are in fact mild detergents which dry out the mouth.

Dry mouth is of course one of the main factors involved with bad breath, decay and gingivitis. Remember AP-24 also tastes great!
